Is California Ready for Normalcy in 2021?

June is here, and California is set to fully reopen on June 15th. Do you think that the first half of 2021 has passed by quickly? We do!

The past year has brought much, from loss to hope, to new technologies, even in ways of testing and vaccinating. California’s Coronavirus current positivity rate is at an all-time low of 1%. Social distancing guidelines will be lifted, and businesses will be allowed to operate at full capacity.

The COVID-19 Vaccine

Almost half of the California population has been fully vaccinated, which is great news. Employers are recommended to encourage their staff to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Employers will have to follow OSHA’s best practices to return to work safely.

COVID-19 Testing Will Continue

The state will still require vaccine verification or negative test results within 72 hours for indoor events with more than 5,000 attendees. State officials have also recommended proof of vaccination or a negative Coronavirus test for outdoor events with more than 10,000 people.

Testing at PMH Laboratory

We have been testing for COVID-19 since May 2020. We are in the heart of Orange County and we perform regular COVID-19 testing for organizations in Southern California and around the United States, even in Hawaii and the territory of Puerto Rico. We send our healthcare staff to businesses, organizations, and schools to do On-Site Testing for COVID-19.

Conclusion

Over 80% of Californian’s think that the worst is behind them, and they are optimistic to reopen and welcome the future with wide arms. It is important to still practice the newly acquired health guidelines, like frequent handwashing and staying home when sick, to ensure that we can go back outside safely.
